Job Title: Truck and Transport Technician

Brandt is seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Technician to join our team at our Regina Peterbilt location. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks, trailers, and buses in a shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose equipment issues, and perform repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely, and operate related instruments, hand/power tools, and computer systems.
  • Accurately document work orders, including unit information, actions taken, and time spent.
  • Continuously assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with equipment engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements.
  • Road test equipment and verify repairs as needed.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with equipment engineers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Outstanding knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with a proven ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
  • Proven computer and technical aptitude, with experience in diagnostics and calibration work.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic skills, with the ability to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
  • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, with an appreciation for customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, with a commitment to high-quality customer service.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous mechanical experience in a truck and coach environment.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Transport technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
  • Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems.
