About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kidz in the Rockies Ltd. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that align with our organization's mission and values, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities and provide guidance to children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development through storytelling, songs, and educational activities.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and organizational standards.
  • Child Development: Engage children in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development, including proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Knowledge and Certifications: Possess knowledge of licensing regulations and hold relevant certifications, such as the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Security and Safety: Maintain a basic security clearance and undergo a criminal record check, ensuring a safe environment for children and staff.
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced environment, performing a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling, with attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a college or CEGEP program in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn, with a focus on developing skills and expertise in early childhood education.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Work Schedule: 30-40 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to the needs of the organization and children.
