About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kidz in the Rockies Ltd. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children, promoting their overall well-being and development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities and provide guidance to children, including storytelling, singing, and educational outings, to foster a love for learning and exploration.
  • Record Keeping and Administration: Assist in maintaining accurate records and performing administrative tasks as required, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and company policies.
  • Child Support and Development: Provide individualized support to children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and toilet habits, while promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with early childhood educators and supervisors to ensure seamless program delivery and maintain a positive, supportive team environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certifications and Education: Possess an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and a College/CEGEP diploma.
  • Security and Safety: Hold a basic security clearance and undergo a criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Demonstrate the ability to perform repetitive tasks, maintain attention to detail, and engage in a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Exhibit excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, as well as reliability and a strong team player attitude.
Work Environment and Benefits
  • Work Setting: Work in a child care centre, day care centre, or nursery school environment.
  • Work Hours and Language: Work 30 to 40 hours per week, with English as the primary work language.
