Clearford Water Systems is seeking a highly skilled professional to manage and develop projects for our water and wastewater treatment facilities. As the Account & Project Manager, you will be responsible for creating and monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, ensuring project deadlines are met and team members achieve their goals.

This is a hybrid position with regular office work required, with the option to work remotely up to 2 – 3 days per week. Must be able to commute to the Stoney Creek or Ottawa office a minimum of 3 days a week.

" + "Responsibilities" + "
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage daily operations and additional services.
  • Manage client relationships and sustain clients' expectations by developing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Monitor and manage site contracts and service agreements to ensure adherence to the terms and conditions.
  • Create and request purchase orders, place orders, coordinate with analytical laboratories and contractors to manage services, equipment repairs, upgrades, sampling, and process troubleshooting.
  • Maintain knowledge of current market conditions, relevant legislation, and competitor offerings.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to management, clients, and prospective clients.
  • Solicit additional work from existing clients and develop, plan, and implement capital improvement projects.
  • Review site financial statements, actual and budgeted labour and expenditure, and work with Supervisors to ensure projects are on budget.
  • Ensure regulatory documents are current and readily available to Operations and Compliance staff.
  • Assist Compliance team by reviewing and editing regulatory reporting documents.
  • Create and maintain detailed and accurate project timelines and reports.
  • Lead communications and meetings between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update Operator schedules.
  • Work closely with Engineering to coordinate technical tasks and provide site improvement recommendations.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the water and wastewater management field.
  • Knowledge of various Ontario drinking water and wastewater regulations.
  • Experience in management of operational teams and budgets.
  • Capable of prioritizing and taking appropriate actions to address client and/or project team issues.
  • Ability to identify, suggest, and implement solutions to issues and challenges encountered at client sites.
  • Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of providing technical expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Superior presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft and ability to learn to use other time and expense tracking applications.
  • Valid G2 driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
