Mental Health Social Worker – Psychiatry Clinical Specialist

At Sioux Lookout Meno Ya WIn Health Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our Mental Health and Addictions Program.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize patient needs, establishing individualized plans in collaboration with patients and families.
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with other members of the circle of care.
- Develop and implement case management services to address patient needs and preferences.
- Advocate on behalf of patients and navigate regional psychiatry services.
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling services, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Social Service Work, Social Work, or equivalent.
- Registration with Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, or eligible to obtain.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret patient needs and develop effective solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to maintain accurate patient care documentation.
- Training or experience in complex mental health needs, including psychiatric, cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, and motivational interviewing.
