Job Description
The Facilities Support Assistant will be responsible for conducting regular inspections of office facilities, identifying maintenance or repair needs, and performing minor repairs such as changing light bulbs and batteries, fixing leaks, and addressing basic plumbing issues.

You'll also manage and maintain supplies, monitor inventory, and reorder supplies as needed. Additionally, you'll coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance or repair services and assist in setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and event spaces as required.

Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of office facilities to identify maintenance or repair needs
- Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs and batteries, fixing leaks, and addressing basic plumbing issues
- Manage and maintain supplies; monitor inventory and reorder supplies as needed
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance or repair services
- Assist in setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and event spaces as required
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols, including proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and supply inventories
- Process and track Facility vendor invoices, following up where required
- Report facility issues promptly to manager for resolution
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing all office areas, restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces

Requirements
- Completed post-secondary degree from a recognized University or College; relevant certifications or experience in facility maintenance and janitorial services is an asset
- 1+ years' experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance roles preferred
- Demonstrated ability to follow cleaning and maintenance protocols with strong attention to detail
- Basic repair skills (plumbing, carpentry) are advantageous
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Physically capable of performing cleaning tasks and light maintenance duties
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with Team Members and vendors
- Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance standards
- Proactive and self-directed with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace
- Able to work well with a variety of people and maintain confidentiality
- SAP Knowledge is an asset
