About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Choi's Dental Studio. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a crucial role in preparing dental models, casting metal alloys, and maintaining our laboratory supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Dental Models: Prepare plaster models and moulds to exact specifications.
  • Casting and Finishing: Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases, and finish metal frameworks of dentures.
  • Supply Management: Maintain and order laboratory supplies to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Wax Work: Mould wax over denture set-ups and prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays.
  • Packing and Finishing: Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures, and polish and buff dentures to a high shine.
  • Orthodontic Band Production: Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

Our laboratory is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and hand-eye coordination. You will work in a team setting, collaborating with our dental technicians and dentists to deliver high-quality dental restorations.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a dental laboratory setting.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
