Key Responsibilities- Apply the nursing process to provide comprehensive care to patients in various clinical areas.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on specific patient needs.
- Coordinate care and facilitate patient transitions through the continuum of care.
- Provide patient and family education, and support factors that impact customer satisfaction.
- Administer medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
- Document observations, assessments, and changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card upon hire.
- Recent nursing experience in acute medicine is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- Caring attitude with patients, families, and coworkers.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrates commitment to continuing education.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
- Strong physical assessment skills.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, with an ability to set priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
