Job Summary:

ACS Testing is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Coordinator to join our Geoscience Team. As a Technical Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our drilling and coring teams, including arrangement of traffic management and permitting, booking projects and invoicing, and monitoring the status of ongoing jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the setup, management, and day-to-day running of site investigation teams.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and specialist service providers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Arrange traffic management and permitting to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Book projects and invoice clients through our laboratory management system.
  • Monitor the status of ongoing jobs and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct site walkovers prior to drilling and coring to ensure access and safety.
  • Arrange maintenance and servicing of drilling and coring rigs and associated equipment.
  • Maintain stock levels of geoscience consumables and arrange sample storage.

Requirements:

  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and Word.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Familiarity with construction industry safety standards and procedures.
  • Familiarity with drilling and highways coring works, or traffic management.
  • Knowledge of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
