We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at RhynoCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our patients in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities in the Rainy River area.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic and compassionate team, earning above-average wages with travel compensation and accommodation. You will have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight, with consistent hours and a set schedule until further notice.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care, within the scope of practice of a Nurse Practitioner.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
- Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
- Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
**Requirements:**
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length.
- Ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
- Reliability to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
- Compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
