Job Summary

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of various equipment and systems within the facility. This includes personal monitors, quad head monitors, Rig Rat monitors, hardwire systems, and associated gas detection equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Shop Foreman to ensure the maintenance of safety equipment, including safety trailers, SABA/SCBA breathing apparatus, Road Block Kits, and other related systems.

This position is located within the HSE Integrated facility and requires a full-time commitment with occasional weekend work. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Shop Foreman in the maintenance of equipment and systems
  • Inventorying H2S equipment and reporting any missing or damaged items
  • Cleaning, testing, and inspecting equipment
  • Operating B.A. compressors safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Loading H2S trailers with equipment as per job requirements
  • Notifying supervisors of the status of trailers and equipment
  • Repairing or replacing H2S equipment as needed
  • Assisting other personnel as required
  • Conducting nightly security checks of the facility, vehicles, and related equipment
  • Performing hot shot equipment and parts runs as needed

Employee Safety Responsibilities

  • Familiarizing themselves with and working in accordance with health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures
  • Taking reasonable care to use safety and personal protective equipment as required by health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures
  • Reporting any incidents or hazardous conditions to HSE Integrated supervision and management immediately
  • Refusing work if danger is imminent or not controlled

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good vision and hearing
  • Attending work clean-shaven, well-groomed, alert, and on time each shift
  • Being physically capable of performing tasks such as working at heights, climbing ladders or stairs, working in small or confined spaces, lifting up to 50lbs, and pushing or pulling tools and objects

  • H2S Alive
  • Standard 1st Aid/CPR
  • Valid unrestricted license with full driving privileges in the province of issue for the specified class of vehicle to be operated on behalf of the company or a higher class of license than that of the vehicle to be operated
  • HSE Driving program

  • HSE Respiratory Protection
  • HSE Gas Detection
  • Petroleum Safety Training (PST) and Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
  • EGSO ~ Enform
