Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in the Day Surgery department at Brightshores. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and new technologies
Requirements:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility
- Current BCLS certification
- Successful completion of Post Anaesthetic Course within the last 3 years
- Physical Assessment Course or equivalent
- 2 years recent acute care surgical nursing experience
- Broad knowledge in all surgical sub-specialties performed at Brightshores
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work all shifts
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
