AIG is redefining the way we help customers manage risk. As a Private and Non-Profit Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in this transformation, growing your skills and experience as a valued member of our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Underwrite and assess risk for AIG's Private & Non-Profit portfolio within Financial Lines, including Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, and Fidelity insurance coverages.
- Manage and service an existing renewal book of management liability insurance, producing and underwriting new accounts from brokers.
- Conduct pricing analysis using data analytics and modeling tools.
- Develop and maintain broker and client relationships.
- Present to brokers and insureds.
- Achieve assigned budget targets.
- Maintain profitability across portfolio.
- Drive change management by institutionalizing underwriting, service, and process improvements.
- Ensure files are well documented and comply with company and department standards.
- Minimum 2 years of Management Liability underwriting experience.
- Post-Secondary Education or equivalent industry education and experience.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines following company guidelines, as well as in a team-oriented approach to accomplish goals.
- Strong analysis and decision-making skills.
- A strong drive to succeed.
- Confident knowledge of systems and PC applications, especially utilizing spreadsheets.
- Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job, and maintain a can-do attitude.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfort with analytical tools and technology.
- A desire to stay up to date with industry, legal, and regulatory trends.
