Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Technician to join our team at Brandt. This is a unique opportunity to work with a variety of heavy equipment and attachments in a field environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the working condition of heavy equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
  • Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven computer and technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
  • Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • A commitment to high quality customer service with a strong people orientation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
