About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Coivic Contracting Ltd. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, ensuring that our fleet is in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Use computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults or malfunctions in heavy equipment, determining the extent of repair required.
  • Test and Inspect Equipment: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Service Attachments and Tools: Service attachments and working tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Diesel Engine Repair: Perform major internal engine repairs or overhaul, ensuring that engines are in top working condition.
  • Mechanical Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance and repair work on differentials and other mechanical components.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including landscape contractor settings.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
