About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our production team of 15-20 associates. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production process, from receiving and storing ingredients to preparing and packaging meal kits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the production team to achieve high-quality and timely production of meal kits
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Enter data accurately and efficiently into our work order system, including yield inputs and inventory management
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and place transfer orders and top-ups as needed
  • Train and coach team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance team performance and efficiency
  • Work closely with our QA team to ensure high-quality ingredients and packaging
  • Maintain a clean and organized production area, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Set up and maintain the prep area, including equipment and machinery
  • Assign tasks to team members based on work orders and ensure they have the necessary resources and equipment
  • Flag any potential delays or issues to the Prep Supervisor
  • Ensure team members are wearing proper PPE and using the correct equipment and tools
  • Communicate with the warehouse team to ensure availability of ingredients and assign tasks accordingly

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in food preparation, restaurant, warehouse, or busy retail environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (0-10°C)
  • Extremely proficient at multitasking
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous
  • Able to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kgs)
  • Punctual attendance is essential
