Job Opportunity
The Keethanow Group of Businesses Department is now accepting applications for a Full-Time Permanent Position based out of Keethanow Corner Grocery in La Ronge, SK:
Head Cashier
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee salespeople, cashiers, shelf stockers, and other employees;
- Demonstrate experience in supervisory capacity at a retail store, or similar;
- Evaluate the supply and availability of stocks, and wastage;
- Monitor shelve stocks and product displays, and the general appearance of the store;
- Investigate market trends and offer products that would appeal to customers;
- Address customer's requests, comments, and complaints;
- Motivate employees to achieve targets;
- Train new staff members and assist with scheduling shifts;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Greet customers entering establishment;
- Oversee the store's front-end with respect to loss-prevention;
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas;
- Process/inspect merchandise returns and exchanges;
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards;
- Assist/listen to customers;
Requirements:
- Must have High school diploma, GED or equivalent;
- Must have 1-year experience in retail environment and be familiar with cash outs, invoicing, inventory, coding and proven track record of excellent customer relationship skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers;
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying levels of priority;
- A combination of education and experience may be considered;
- MUST provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
