Pediatric Complex Pain Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Complex Pain Physician to join our team at BC Children's Hospital and the University of British Columbia. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert care to pediatric and adolescent patients with chronic or complex pain, and/or persisting pain that significantly impairs function.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work within a program management model (Pain360) with excellent inter-professional collaborative opportunities and provide medical expertise to support pain care as well as involvement in resident and fellow education and training.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to pediatric and adolescent patients with complex pain conditions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Participate in resident and fellow education and training programs
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pain management protocols and guidelines
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a fellowship in Pediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and subspecialty training and certification or equivalent training within another country. They must be eligible to obtain a specialist's license to practice medicine in British Columbia.
