Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary
TWD Technologies Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer to support our headquarters in Calgary, AB as an Independent Contractor.
The successful candidate will utilize their technical expertise to provide support to Operations, Maintenance and Reliability Engineering, and prepare high-quality design packages as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide electrical and instrumentation maintenance engineering support to terminals across Canada, with frequent travel to site required.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to recover plant production and resolve technical issues.
- Lead or participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Review equipment test results and advise on maintenance activities, repairs, or equipment upgrades.
- Participate in risk analysis and develop engineering solutions for plant issues.
- Develop and present scope of work for maintenance activities and provide support during execution.
- Responsible for small to medium modifications (MOCs).
- Make recommendations for procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
- Complete electrical engineering work packages for equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with client specifications and standards.
- Prepare high-quality design packages with well-understood scopes of work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a Canadian University or equivalent as recognized by APEGA.
- Professional Engineer (APEGA and/or PEO) designation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and as a self-starter.
- Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and practices.
- Valid class 5 driver's license.
- Eligibility to work permanently in Canada.
Work Location
This is a site-based position with frequent travel to client distribution terminals required. Most work will take place in Ontario and Quebec.
