Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Moving Helper to join our team at Traditional Moving & Storage (Thunder Bay), a business unit of Gardewine. As a Moving Helper, you will be responsible for loading and unloading household goods, providing excellent customer service, and working collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless moving experiences for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload household goods, including boxes and furniture, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Provide positive and friendly customer service to all customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Participate in packing of household items, adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, keeping them informed of activities and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Work in a safe manner, complying with all Gardewine safe work policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the team and achieve our goals.

Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to perform physical requirements of this type of work.
  • Prior experience loading and unloading household/office furniture and specialty freight.
  • Proven history of working in collaborative teams.
