Job Role

The Financial Analyst will work closely with the VP, Financial Planning & Analysis to facilitate all pricing and profitability functions for the organization. This includes managing internal pricing, conducting further analysis on profitability and the business, and completing other ad hoc priorities designed to further the business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Current and prospective system and broker pricing analysis and interpretation.
  • Profitability assessment and impact analysis on broker, region and the business.
  • Financial and operating data analysis to enhance management decision making.
  • Monthly financial analysis to identify and report variances in actuals to budgeted.
  • Data visualization through graphs, charts and timelines.
  • Financial and business process improvement.
  • Regular interaction with other departments.
  • Support to other departments through analysis of business outcomes, financial exposure and trends in key operational/financial metrics.
  • Ad hoc reporting and special projects.

Required Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Data/Business + Financial Analysis experience.
  • Ability to impact P&L.
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
  • Database experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Power BI experience preferred.
  • Effective communication of complex analytical details.
  • Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
