Job Summary

Are you a forward-thinking and results-focused leader looking for a challenging opportunity in financial control? We are seeking a Director to join our Capital Markets Platform Financial Control team at Royal Bank of Canada, one of Canada's largest and most respected companies.

What is the Opportunity?

This role offers a unique chance to lead a talented team responsible for financial reporting and controls, working closely with senior management and external auditors. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial close cycle, managing internal controls and governance frameworks, and establishing best practices in financial control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of accounting and finance professionals in financial reporting and controls
  • Oversee the financial close cycle, including timely and accurate reporting of results
  • Manage internal controls and governance frameworks, including SOX compliance
  • Establish best practices in financial control and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements:
  • CPA designation or equivalent, with 8+ years of experience in financial control
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, with ability to multitask and handle high-pressure requests
