We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable processes, staff development, and vendor management, preferably within the retail or food industry.
About the Role- This position involves overseeing the accounts payable team, providing performance assessments, and driving staff training and development initiatives.
- You will be responsible for reviewing and managing payables, ensuring timely payments, and maximizing available discounts.
- In addition, you will develop, recommend, and implement efficient AP procedures to streamline operations.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable supervision, with a strong preference for experience in retail or food industry settings.
- Familiarity with Sage Accounting, ACCPAC, and related accounts payable software is required.
- Industry knowledge, particularly in the food industry, is an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a proactive approach to team and vendor relations, are essential.
