Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Food Manager to join our team at Sodexo Canada Ltd. As a key member of our campus division, you will be responsible for successfully coordinating and directing retail and concession operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct daily operations, including working with the executive chef on menus and promotions, purchasing/ordering, inventory, and scheduling.
  • Manage financials for the retail program, including labor cost, food cost, inventory, equipment, and materials.
  • Supervise, mentor, and monitor supervisors, and evaluate performance to ensure a high level of productivity and the best use of team member capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company and Client standards and Provincial/Federal Legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with all Food Safety and Physical Safety Policies and Procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a busy retail environment in a management role.
  • Ability to lead the team to deliver on an innovative and high-quality retail program, including branded concepts.
  • Experience in running and evaluating successful promotions.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, team-centric, and safety-driven environment.
  • Proven organizational skills and strong computer/technology capabilities, including Microsoft Office use and Social Media.
  • Proven cash handling experience.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers, clients, and staff.
  • Ability to work, problem solve, and provide solutions independently.
  • Genuine desire to provide customer service experiences beyond expectations.
