Job Title: Data Centre Security Guard

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Centre Security Guard at our Barrie location.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires a valid security license and CPR/First Aid certification. As a Data Centre Security Guard, you will be responsible for facilitating access control, conducting exhaustive foot patrols, and maintaining access and equipment logs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate access control to building and sensitive areas of the facility
  • Conduct exhaustive foot patrols of the facility and report any issues through proper channels
  • Maintain access and equipment logs
  • Provide escorts for contractors into restricted areas
  • Test building security and fire systems
  • Investigate alarms and report incidents
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Monitor CCTV systems

Requirements:
  • Valid security license
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certification from a WSIB-approved provider
  • Ability to work a continental rotation schedule with two weeks of days and two weeks of nights
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort with computer systems
  • Ability to complete regular foot patrols
  • Ability to articulate motivation for applying and working in the security field
