Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Community Mental Health Registered Nurse/RPN, you will play a vital role in providing treatment and care management services to individuals with mental illness and concurrent disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide treatment and care management services to individuals with mental illness and concurrent disorders
  • Collaborate with interprofessional care teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
  • Conduct mental health assessments, administer prescribed medications, and monitor client progress
  • Work with clients and their families to promote recovery and rehabilitation, and reduce barriers to accessing care
  • Document assessments, care plans, and client progress in accordance with practice standards and Fraser Health procedures
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing
  • Two years recent related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a substance use certificate program
  • Eligibility for completion of the BC Provincial Opiate Addiction Treatment Support Program course and approved related preceptorship
