Job Title: Shift Manager - Food Service Operations

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Manager to oversee the daily operations of our food service establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards, managing staff, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
  • Hire food service staff and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports.

Requirements:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Permanent employment with 35 hours per week.
  • English as the primary language of work.

Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding work conditions.
