Wine Harvest Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vineyard Worker to join our team at Gallucci winery Inc. as a Wine Harvest Specialist.

This is a permanent full-time position, working 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have no degree, certificate or diploma but possess relevant experience in the field.

As a Wine Harvest Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes. This includes tasks such as cleaning crops, clearing fields of wood and stones, mixing fertilizer, picking row and orchard crops, planting, cultivating and irrigating crops, seed cutting, weeding, cleaning work area, fertilizing and spraying crops, harvesting crops, operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment, and implementing soil fertility programs.

The successful candidate will have 2 years of experience in this field of employment and hold a valid driver's licence. They will also be able to distinguish between colours, have good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, and be physically demanding with the ability to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Additionally, they should have efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, and reliability, as well as be a quick learner.

As a Wine Harvest Specialist, you can expect a competitive salary of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on your experience. You will also have access to benefits such as own transportation, gloves, steel-toed safety boots, and the opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.

The role will be based in a rural area, and you will be required to work independently, handling repetitive tasks under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
