Job Overview

We are seeking a Quality Engineering Lead to join our team. This role will be responsible for delivering QE tasks, ensuring all aspects of testing meet quality standards while complying with the Tangerine Delivery framework and process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day coordination of QE squad, overseeing delivery of functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, accessibility testing, user acceptance testing, and production acceptance testing.
  • Ensure compliance with Tangerine test methodologies and industry best practices, delivering automation results for dedicated channels based on leadership directives.
  • Coach and mentor testing team members in areas like business domain, functional testing, automation, and non-functional testing, ensuring test teams comply with Tangerine test methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Recommend and implement process or framework enhancements by collaborating with the QE community.
  • Participate in project discovery phases, collaborating with development, PMO, release management teams, and performing capacity planning for testing initiatives.
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent experience in computer science/engineering.
  • 8+ years of solid experience working within SDLC/TDLC.
  • 8+ years of solid testing experience within software quality engineering.
  • Proficient testing background in the Canadian financial services industry.
  • Experience across front and backend systems spanning mobile, web, API, and DB components.
  • Competent in various tools, including defect management, requirement management, test management, web content management tools, and concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation using Selenium WebDriver or similar, and ability to contribute to automation framework enhancements.
  • Extensive knowledge of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.
  • Strong experience in database testing, analyzing data from RDBMS, MySQL, and other databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD and related tools and techniques; Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of agile processes.
