Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team at QM Environmental. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Execution
    • Manage project resources and execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company financial targets.
    • Handle project documentation, including billing, purchase orders, and site documentation.
    • Oversee project field data, employee hours, and ensure compliance with QM's Health & Safety programs.
    • Guide the kickoff, delegation, and monitoring of projects, ensuring all phases are properly executed.
    • Lead project meetings, manage purchase orders, and keep project budgets up-to-date.
    • Manage change orders and ensure optimal financial performance.
  • Project Close-Out
    • Oversee post-project documentation, including financial and technical summaries.
    • Lead lessons learned sessions to improve future project performance.
    • Ensure the successful collection of project funds.
  • Client Relationships and Business Development
    • Foster and maintain strong client relationships to ensure project satisfaction and identify potential business opportunities.
    • Lead the bid process, including RFPs, RFQs, and the preparation of cost estimates.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to win new business and drive QM's growth.
  • Health & Safety
    • Ensure that all projects exceed industry standards and comply with QM's Health & Safety policies.
    • Be proactive in creating a safe work environment for all staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in business development and project management.
  • Proven experience in construction estimating and reviewing environmental site assessments.
  • Strong understanding of remediation solutions, contaminated site conditions, and environmental legislation.
  • Experience managing the full project lifecycle, including resource allocation, contract management, and financial oversight.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex environmental challenges, especially in marine or contaminated land projects.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and financial accounting systems.
