About the Role:

Ranch Ehrlo Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will provide care, support, and guidance to children, youth, and adults with complex needs in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional and physical support to participants, fostering a sense of belonging and well-being.
  • Develop and implement engaging activity plans that promote participation and socialization.
  • Collaborate with clinical professionals to share insights and contribute to treatment plans and goal setting.
  • Teach essential life skills, such as self-care, cooking, and budgeting, to support participants' independence.
  • Resolve conflicts with empathy and use behavior management strategies to guide participants through challenges.
  • Complete documentation and reports with accuracy and clarity, ensuring all agency standards are met.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; certificate, diploma, or degree in Child and Youth Care (CYC) or a related field is an asset.
  • At least one year of experience working with children, youth, and/or adults with behavioral, cognitive, mental health, or developmental challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
