Job Title: Program Coordinator, Indigenous Practical Nursing Program

SIIT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team. As a Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination and administration of quality adult programs and services for First Nations Learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the Indigenous Practical Nursing (IPN) program across Saskatchewan and First Nation communities.
  • Develop and implement program plans, including administration and financial budgeting, program development, monitoring, and recruitment and management of instructors and students.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all trainings for the IPN program.
  • Collaborate with the Program Head and Dean to identify the need to modify current programs and services to meet the needs of learners, clients, and communities.
  • Monitor student outcomes and make recommendations to adjust course content to facilitate student success.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing with active/practicing Registered Nurse (RN) status.
  • Minimum 5 years' clinical practice experience in medical-surgical, pediatrics/labor and delivery, and/or long term care/residential settings.
  • Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations is an asset.
  • Experience working in post-secondary education is an asset.
