Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient and family-centered care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care in accordance with AHS policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with registered nurses, health care aides, and other healthcare professionals to provide seamless care.
  • Direct and monitor the care provided by health care aides and support RN peers.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, and mobilizing patients, as well as other physical tasks.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
  • Previous Arthroplasty experience required.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and priority setting skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Connect Care.
  • Experience with ESP.
  • Experience with Nurse Call Responder 5.
  • Experience with VernaCare System.
  • Direct IV, PICC, care of spinal anesthesia patients experiences.
