Job Summary

TuxMat Inc. is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer - 3D Printing to join our dynamic team and drive innovation in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of tooling design and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize CAD models for molds to meet large-format 3D printing and thermoform compression molding requirements.
  • Develop and implement additive manufacturing parameters to improve mold quality, reduce production time, and minimize material waste.
  • Research and select suitable materials for mold production considering factors like durability, thermal stability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate molds into the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct trials to assess mold performance, analyze results, and implement necessary design or process adjustments.
  • Maintain detailed records of design iterations, process parameters, and testing outcomes to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in additive manufacturing with a focus on tooling design and large-format 3D printing.
  • Expertise in CAD software for designing complex geometries.
  • Familiarity with additive manufacturing technologies particularly material extrusion methods.
  • Strong understanding of material properties and their implications on mold performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments while keeping sight of overarching objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
