Job Overview:

The Technical Services Manager is a key leadership position responsible for leading the Technical Services Department to support a safe and effective mining operation.

As a critical member of the team, the successful candidate will be accountable for all mine engineering, survey, and geotechnical functions, ensuring seamless collaboration with all mine functions to maximize resource value while prioritizing safety, business risk, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective Safety & Health and Environmental policies, standards, procedures, and regulations within the Mine Technical Services Department.
  • Lead the technical services team to deliver operational requirements and personnel development, including performance management, career development, and succession planning.
  • Foster collaborative relationships throughout the organization, including geology, metallurgy, maintenance, projects, and finance functions.
  • Establish and maintain integrated mine planning, execution, reporting, and reconciliation systems to support delivery of quality plans through execution.
  • Drive the forecast and budget cycle, including ownership of mining cost models and improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and oversee technical and operational projects.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 15 years of technical mining-related experience, primarily in Underground (UG) operations.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical staff.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Engineering standards and technical expertise.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of the organization, including executives.
