Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at EMBASSY GRAND CONVENTION CENTRE. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings to ensure a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Perform safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our guests and staff.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 35 hours per week.
