Job Summary

The Building Manager II Resident will serve as the Commission's representative in matters of resident relations and building management at the site(s). This role requires strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to effectively interact with the resident population.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain order and appearance of common and public areas, including vacant dwellings, by performing tasks such as cleaning, snow and ice removal, and minor grounds upkeep.

2. Respond to emergency calls, notify appropriate authorities, and generate work orders for maintenance staff and external contractors.

3. Perform unit inspections, assist with annual inspections, and respond to resident enquiries and complaints.

4. Coordinate, train, and assign work under the direction of the Building Manager Supervisor, and function as lead by performing all duties of the Building Manager Supervisor for standalone site(s).

Additional Responsibilities

1. Perform minor maintenance duties throughout the site, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.

2. Identify minor deficiencies in routine work specifications and report to the Contractor, facilitating remedial action.

3. Arrange for Contractor to view site, enter units when necessary, and ensure that maintenance projects are coordinated with site operations.

Requirements

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building management and maintenance, and be able to effectively interact with residents and staff.
