About the Opportunity

We are looking for an individual who takes pride in being compassionate, honest, professional, and safe. As a Housekeeper in the Transitional Care Centre, you will perform housekeeping, laundry, and basic maintenance functions in all areas of the facility. Your tasks will include sweeping, dusting, and wet mopping floors, cleaning sinks, toilets, and bath facilities, and ensuring garbage and recycling are disposed of properly.

In addition to your cleaning responsibilities, you will also be responsible for buffing and auto-scubbing floors using floor machines and cleaning solutions, filling and replenishing supplies in patient rooms, nursing units, and rest rooms as required, and promoting a safety culture by continuously working safely.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent education, 1 year of environmental services experience, and previous experience working in housekeeping and/or laundry and working in a long-term care environment. You must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, have a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently, and demonstrate responsible behavior and attention to detail.
