Reporting to Maintenance manager, the maintenance supervisor Directs and controls the activities related to maintenance and upkeep work for all plant equipment with adherence to the plant's quality standards and ensures that production stoppages are minimized.

**_What’s involved in this role
- **
- Maintains an inventory of parts for the maintenance of factory equipment and installations. Supervises the work carried out by maintenance staff and contractors. controls execution time and materials used.
- Provides the employees under his responsibility with all the support necessary for the performance of their duties. Coordinates the activities of his team with other departments. Recommends the organizational structure required as well as the personnel essential for the accomplishment of its function.
- Develops investment requests and justification related to machinery modifications. Controls spending against authorized operating budgets. Ensures the development and maintenance of preventive maintenance of the plant.
- Participate in the selection and evaluation of its staff. represents the company in its relations with employees and monitors all staff on its team within the limits of its authority and with respect of the collective labor agreement.
- Provide technical assistance and support to the product line.
- Provide technical service, including problem solving and making necessary recommendations to the various systems to improve performance.
- Help reduce plant downtime and improve profitability by keeping plant running close to 100%.
- Prepare reports as needed.
- Collaborate with Stake holders, contractors, engineering teams and OEM ( _original equipment _manufacturer) _.
- Oversee project planning and execution.
- Provides continuous improvement to the maintenance department development.
- Perform troubleshooting as needed.
- Provide on call support as assigned.
- Ensure the programming, electrical, network and instrumentation systems in good working order so the plant runs efficiently. ensures standards are current.
