Vantix Systems Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Developer to support the analytics initiatives prioritized by the Business Intelligence and Strategy Committee (BISC) for 2024 and supplement other work required on the Data Management Program (DMP).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop a technical solution that aligns with the business's objectives by understanding the business requirements.
  2. Build reputable results by understanding the nuances of the data and its relationships.
  3. Leverage technology to build full-function, easy-to-use dashboards and solutions.
  4. Collect, transform, and store data required for business intelligence and analytics.
  5. Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures.
  6. Streamline data collection methods to create automated and easy-to-use routines.
  7. Perform data cleansing, processing, and validation to ensure data quality.
  8. Explore and visualize data using Python and business intelligence tools.
  9. Document all data pipelines and transformations created.
  10. Follow standards for data analysis at Vantix Systems Inc. to promote maintainability and testability.
Requirements:
  • Very strong proficiency in Python and/or R.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
  • Data wrangling.
  • Experience using business intelligence tools and data frameworks.
  • Understanding of analytical models and how to structure data for model usage.
  • Experience doing feature engineering and topic modeling.
  • Experience doing text analysis, comparative analysis, trend analysis, and sentiment analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, with an ability to adapt to and manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to work within a team environment or independently as needed.
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently and work with little supervision.
  • Ability to manage stress in an environment with high expectations, tight deadlines, and changing priorities.
  • Understanding of best practices, methods, and standards for business intelligence, analytics, and visualizations.
  • Agile Methodologies.
  • Team Foundation Server (TFS) - Code Management.
