We are seeking a skilled Carpenter, Plant Specialist to join our team at Protectolite Composites Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial plant.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes, using measuring tools and software.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Prepare tenders and quotations for maintenance and repair projects.
- Install and fit windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan maintenance projects.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in industrial plants and other establishments.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
- Industrial setting experience with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads.
- Excellent physical capabilities with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong team player with accurate judgement and reliability.
