Salary and Benefits

We offer an attractive salary range of $85,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy five weeks of vacation plus one additional day per year of service, up to a maximum of six weeks. Our comprehensive benefits package includes extended health and dental coverage, a $1000 Health Spending Account annually, and participation in the BC Public Sector Pension Plan.

About the Role

">

The Senior Infrastructure Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for monitoring and reporting construction non-conformities on the Surrey Langley SkyTrain Project while ensuring compliance with project agreements and applicable specifications. This role requires collaboration with Construction Managers and other project team members to identify potential quality issues, provide recommendations for issue management, and develop systems to track observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Prepare and conduct audits of quality processes, monitor compliance with requirements, and identify improvement opportunities;
  • Report on-site observations and analyses to the Quality Manager and provide recommendations for issue management;
  • Liaise with technical and construction teams to close out non-conformity reports and create non-conformity reports when needed;
  • Implement, maintain, and ensure the effective operation of the internal Quality Management System;
  • Conduct on-site quality assurance tasks as needed;
  • Support the province's Quality Audit Program, including scheduling, coordinating, and participating in internal and external quality audits of key processes;
  • Ensure correct codes, standards, job specifications, project procedures, federal and provincial regulations are properly identified, correctly specified in detail, and met or exceeded;

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Engineering and considerable related experience working with project teams supporting the quality aspect of large construction projects, ideally for rapid transit. Sound knowledge of quality management, sound judgment, excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritizing skills are essential.
