Pro Vita Care Management Inc. is a leading provider of care services. We are currently seeking a Caregiver for Elderly to join our team at our facility in Agassiz.

Job Title: Caregiver for Elderly
Location: Agassiz, BC
Term: Casual
Salary: $29.83 per hour

About the Job

The successful candidate will provide care and support to our elderly residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. They will also participate in the creation, organization, and implementation of therapeutic recreation programs, including arts and crafts, exercise, music, woodworking, cooking, baking, gardening, outings, and other social programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with seniors and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must also be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

A valid Class 4 BC driver's license and a valid Occupational First Aide Level 1 Certificate, including CPR 'A', are required. Food Safe Level 1 certification is also necessary.

Additionally, the successful candidate must pass a Ministry of Justice criminal record check upon hire and every five years thereafter.


Requirements
  • A Recreational/Activity Certification or combination of experience/training
  • A Valid Class 4 BC driver's license, as applicable to care home needs
  • Maintains Valid Occupational First Aide Level 1 Certificate including CPR 'A'
  • Maintains Food Safe Level 1
  • Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written
