About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Technician to join our team at the Canadian Armed Forces. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining highly technical propulsion, mechanical, and power generation systems on Royal Canadian Navy warships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain propulsion, mechanical, and power generation systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on shipboard equipment
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure smooth operation of shipboard systems
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g. mechanical engineering, naval architecture)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field (e.g. ship repair, maintenance, or operation)
  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
