About NORR

NORR is an employee-owned global architecture and engineering firm with a multi-disciplinary team of 800 professionals active in 12 market sectors across Canada, the US, UK, and UAE. Our purpose is built on design thinking, which has been a cornerstone of our approach for over 85 years. We push the boundaries of what is possible to support people and the planet.

Our Residential Portfolio

We design multi-family buildings and spaces that help establish smart cities and resilient neighborhoods, focusing on walkable communities, certified healthy buildings, and carbon reduction strategies. Our team optimizes square footage and manages space standards, leveraging a knowledge base of program metrics that covers integrated developments, low-, mid-, and high-rise apartments, adaptive reuse, townhomes, attainable housing, and senior living.

About the Role

  • Coordinate design intent with other disciplines.
  • Integrate engineering requirements, site surveys, and field review information, adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Prepare design reports, drawings, and models following office standards.
  • Perform site visitations to determine compliance with construction documents, identifying any deviations and liaising with the owner and contractor to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Review project products, services, and shop drawings to ensure adherence to project documents, relevant jurisdictional codes, and corporate quality controls.

Required Skills

  • Experience in all phases of the project cycle is required.
  • Architectural design software skills, including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PhotoShop, and other architectural design software.
  • Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes is required.
  • Have successfully completed related post-secondary education.
