Job Summary:

The successful candidate will oversee all Quality Assurance activities for bids, projects, and R&D initiatives. This includes ensuring that work meets contractual and regulatory requirements, as well as internal quality processes, within budget and on schedule. The role also involves managing a team of Quality Assurance Managers, guaranteeing product or project quality, and motivating employees to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a performance-driven culture by assessing, measuring, and rewarding accountability and efficiency.
  • Set quality function objectives aligned with organizational goals and inspire employees to achieve these objectives through coaching and monitoring KPIs.
  • Serve as a role model and change agent to deliver 'first-time right' quality across the organization.
  • Contribute to bids, projects, and products by ensuring their quality and providing support to relevant operational teams.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal quality processes throughout all project phases.
  • Analyze customer and Hitachi Rail quality requirements, define, and implement the Quality Plan, and produce Quality Advice in the bid and project phases.
  • Ensure compliance of Quality Plans and Quality Management Reports with relevant CENELEC standards, internal QMS, and customer requirements.
  • Generate insights from data resulting from assessments, audits, customer surveys, and complaints.
  • Contribute to bid and project gate reviews, ensuring solution compliance for competitiveness.
  • Support multiple projects with different schedules and deadlines, even with limited resource constraints.
  • Develop the competencies of Quality Assurance Managers to continually improve solution competitiveness and employee growth.
