Job Description: Collision Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Collision Estimator who can accurately inspect vehicles, cost parts and supplies, determine labor time, and write detailed collision estimates. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be well-versed in ICBC primary estimating software (Mitchell Connect), and have experience working with related software packages (CDK, Carbeat, Bodyshop Connect).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Write accurate and complete collision estimates by inspecting vehicles and determining costs, labor time, and completion dates.
  • Process ICBC, private insurance, internal vehicle, and company estimates as required.
  • Arrange collision repair needs for customers, ensuring timely completion and quality control checks.
  • Communicate repair status with customers and insurance companies.
  • Coordinate pre- and post-repair inspections and quality control checks.
  • Track vehicle workflow to meet promised time schedules.
  • Familiarize yourself with and adhere to insurance provider and company policies.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have at least three years of prior experience in automotive collision repair estimating. You should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently under pressure while meeting deadlines. A valid BC Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract is also mandatory. Additionally, you should be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
