Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes managing a team of hourly employees, coordinating shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the shipping, receiving, and warehousing of product to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.
  • Manage a team of hourly employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and productivity in the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Identify and address any operational issues or concerns, implementing solutions to resolve them.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is accurately counted and recorded.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a diverse warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • College diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and management principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve operational issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and other departments.
  • Working knowledge of Saskatchewan Labour Laws and Regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
