Patient Flow and Operations Leader

This role is responsible for coordinating safe and efficient patient care services within Northern Zone facilities and Nova Scotia Health. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with patients, families, management, staff, physicians, and community partners to address capacity and patient flow issues, emergency response, bed management, and unanticipated operational issues.

About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in healthcare leadership, clinical utilization, and patient flow. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related health discipline, with 3-5 years of experience in an acute care setting and 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory and/or leadership capacity.
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership, planning, organization, time management, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. They will also have demonstrated knowledge and experience working with software programs related to bed utilization, patient flow, and quality improvement.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent, part-time position with 37.5 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. The hourly rate for this position is $40.15 - $53.35.
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
