About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Patient Access and Flow team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care services within our Northern Zone facilities and NSH.

As a Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care services, responding to capacity and patient flow issues, and supporting staff in managing unanticipated operational challenges. You will work collaboratively with patients, families, management, staff, physicians, and community partners to achieve high-quality, safe, and cost-effective services.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating patient care services to ensure safe and efficient delivery
  • Responding to capacity and patient flow issues
  • Supporting staff in managing unanticipated operational challenges
  • Collaborating with patients, families, management, staff, physicians, and community partners

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in nursing or a health-related discipline, with 3-5 years of experience in an acute care setting and 1-2 years of supervisory and leadership experience. You will have demonstrated leadership, planning, organization, time management, and conflict resolution skills, as well as proficiency in software programs related to bed utilization and patient flow.

About You

We are seeking a candidate who is a strong collaborator with excellent negotiation skills, who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions in a timely manner. You will have a strong understanding of continuous quality improvement principles and be able to apply them in a practical setting.

We offer a competitive salary range of $40.15 - $53.35 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and a defined benefit pension plan. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a $5,000 signing bonus with a defined return of service contract.

Hours

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. Shifts will include days, nights, and weekends.
